Benjamin Strayer Woodard has been a guitarist for more than half his life, has been a consistently performing artist for over 10 years, and has led small ensembles for a combined 4 years of experience. Even with a passion and emphasis on jazz guitar, he has performed various styles of music including and not limited to: blues, country, rock, folk, reggae, funk, and classical. Along with being able to perform on guitar, Ben is able to perform midi-guitar, banjo and electric bass. Ben has also studied guitar under Chris Spencer, James Reid, Daniel Pinilla and Greg Shelley. He has performed in the orchestra pit of the Bigfork Summer Playhouse in Bigfork, Montana under the direction of Brach Thomson. Ben is currently in the Denver area and is studying for a master’s degree in composition at the University of Northern Colorado.
